Vishal Khadi Eco Tourism Campsite

Video Introduction

Vishal Khadi Campsite is a campsite situated on the way to Rajpipla-Netrang road. It is around 20 km away from Rajpipla. The site is surrounded by several forest areas, namely, Karjan forest area, Dediyapada forest area and Dang forest area, and fertile agricultural plains and river valleys. The sightseeing includes the bathing ghats on the River Narmada at Chandod and Garudeshwar, the fort at Dabhoi, waterfalls, the Jain temples of Jagadia. One can also go for boating to the nearby Karjar River as the back waters of the river extend till the campsite.

The site consists of separate cottages with attached toilets and bathrooms and it also has tent accommodations. It can be reached easily as regular State Transport buses are available from Rajpipla in the morning. It can also be reached by Jeeps or sharing auto rickshaws.

Motive

Vishal Khadi is located on the side of Karjan Reservoir on Shamlaji Vapi State Highway. Its 20 km from Rajpipla town. The eco campsite is located 2 km from the main road.

Vishal Khadi eco tourism center is surrounded by backwaters of Karjan Reservoir, scenic jungle and tall mountain range.

To get free from city lifestyle and to enjoy stress free pure nature, people passing through main road often visit the campsite.

One shore of the reservoir is in the Shoolpaneshawar Wildlife Sanctuary range. Its near to Rajpipla, Vadodara, Bharuch and Ankleshwar.

Vishal Khadi is also prime place for nature education programs.

History

Adivasi’s Morbai Mata temple is nearby Visalkhadi. A fair is held every year on Mahashivaratri. In addition to that, on every Sunday, tribal Adivasi’s visit the temple in ample numbers.

The temple is at height of 150 meter. One can reach there by following the walking trail. There’s also an ancient cave near to the temple hill.
